For bookings of 5 people and over we require a table holding deposit of £10 per person at the time of reservation. Your reservation will not be confirmed until the deposit has been received. We can take your deposit in cash or on credit/debit card in the restaurant, over the phone or online. For online deposits please follow the link in the email. If we have not received a deposit within 24 hours of your reservation we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
For large bookings of 10 or more a pre-ordered set menu is required which must be paid in advance. There are many options which can be tailored to your requirements so please get in touch with us.
Each table has a time limit of 105 minutes per sitting.
Please note that we will hold your table for 15 minutes from the original booking time, so please do give us a call if you are running late.
If you require to make any changes to your reservation please contact us 24 hours before your reservation.
PLEASE NOTE: Deposits are non-refundable within 24 hours of your reservation. Please contact us if your numbers change.
If you wish to Cancel your booking, please contact us no later than 24 hours before your booking on 01253 733440 and your deposit will be refunded in full. You may also cancel your reservation by clicking the link in your reservation confirmation email.
Why do we need to take deposits:
As Vida is so small, every seat is precious to us. We have a history of tables not turning up or numbers changing with no notice which has had a significant impact on our business.
Why do we have to have a set menu and why must set menu’s be pre-paid:
With large parties having many dishes between them we ask for a set menu to ensure there is no significant delay with your meals and ensure we have plenty of preparation time. For example a table of 15 people ordering 3 dishes each is a total of 45 individual dishes for us to get to your table within reasonable time. This can also delay other diners’ meals.
With a history of large reservations numbers changing with no notice and the food already prepared we must now ask for pre-payment. If your numbers did change without notice you would receive the full quantity of food that has been paid for.
